What is D-NOW?
Each year, BlueSky organizes a weekend youth retreat for students to help them grow in their faith, connect with others, and have fun! Due to COVID, we are adjusting the format for the weekend. We usually divide students by age and gender into groups for sleeping arrangements, discussion times, etc. and we bring in a team of university students from the U.S. to help us lead these groups. Since that format would bring a lot of added risk, we saw the opportunity to have Disciple Now with the whole family involved!
We will still have all the Bible lessons, games, and connection students have come to expect from D-NOW. However this year, your group will be your family! We see this as an awesome opportunity to partner with you and your family to help you grow in the Lord, grow as a family, connect with other families, and have fun together!

What will we be doing at D-NOW?
At D-NOW “family style”, our goal is for you to experience fun, Biblical Truth, and grow together as a family! The weekend includes Biblically based sessions, silly up-front games, guided family debrief times, high ropes course adventures, group games, a night-time bonfire, and more! You will have some options on what activities you want to participate in.
What precautions will be taken in light of COVID?
Your family unit will stay together throughout D-NOW so as to reduce exposure.
Masks are to be worn at all times except for when you are alone with your family group and at meal times at your family table.
Brackenhurst ensures us they will have cautious COVID procedures when it comes to food service, etc.
We will encourage frequent handwashing, use of hand sanitizer, etc.
We will have temperature checks upon arrival.
Can a student who is not part of our family join our family for D-NOW?
Yes! As long as you feel comfortable with it as far as COVID risk, etc., they are welcome to join into a family group if their own family is unable to attend together.
