Student Ministry

Students in Nairobi are invited to an all-out half-day event with games, competition, food, and worship. There are three BaseCamps each year.

Students in Nairobi are welcome to join us in Karen or Gigiri every other Friday night from 5:30 - 7:30 PM to fellowship, play games, eat pizza, and grow closer to Jesus. These meetings are free to attend, but we offer pizza, soda, and snacks for 400 Ksh.

  • Trek is BlueSky’s year round Student Ministry gathering where students come together for fellowship, worship, teaching, small groups, and fun. Trek meets from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, with gatherings on both the Karen and Gigiri sides of town. Locations may vary, so join your area’s Student Ministry WhatsApp group for the location and details for each Trek.

  • BaseCamp is our half day event where our Student Ministry community comes together to celebrate the season we have just completed and look ahead to what is next. It is a chance to celebrate what God has done, spend time together, and introduce the next season of Student Ministry and everything students can look forward to!

  • Student Summit is our weekend of discipleship, fellowship, worship, games, and fun. Think of it as camp packed into a weekend! Local leaders and leaders from the United States come together to invest in our students and create a weekend focused on growing in faith and building meaningful relationships.

  • Our Student Ministry events are open to students ages 11 to 17, generally 6th through 12th grade. Students from different schools and backgrounds are welcome, and we love when students invite their friends!

  • Registration information will be provided for each event. For Trek, please use the appropriate Karen or Gigiri registration form. Trek is free to attend, with pizza available for Ksh 400. Payment instructions can be found directly on the registration form. Registration and payment information for Basecamp and Student Summit will be shared as each event approaches.

  • Transportation to and from Trek is currently the responsibility of each student’s parent or guardian. We are exploring transportation options from select schools, which may be available for certain Trek gatherings in the future. Any transportation options or changes will be communicated through our Student Ministry WhatsApp groups.

    Transportation arrangements for BaseCamp and Student Summit are different and will be communicated separately with the details for each event.
