Kenya/Kilimanjaro Adventure Trip
Off-Campus Adventure (Seniors 15–17 Years)
The Off-Campus Adventure is the highlight of camp for our senior campers, a journey designed to challenge, inspire, and deepen their connection with God, others, and creation. During this special trip, campers step out of their comfort zones and embark on an exciting camping experience outside Nairobi. Each excursion promises days filled with exploration, adventure, and meaningful moments in nature. Each element of the experience is rooted in our camp values of being Christ-Centered, Growth-Minded, Relational, Adventurous in Spirit, and Multinational.
They Will Enjoy:
Camping in Nature
Campers will experience the great outdoors sleeping under the stars, cooking together, and living amidst nature. This adventure encourages independence, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for God’s creation.
Adventure Activities
From hiking through forests and rock climbing to nature walks and (where possible) river rafting, campers will embrace physical challenges that build courage, teamwork, and problem-solving skills all while having unforgettable fun.
Nighttime Fellowship
Evenings bring powerful moments around the campfire stories, songs, devotionals, and laughter under the open sky. These times allow campers to slow down, reflect, and grow in faith while strengthening bonds of friendship and community.
Building Lifelong Memories & Relationships
Throughout the trip, campers are immersed in experiences that foster personal growth, leadership, and spiritual depth. The balance of adventure, fellowship, and reflection helps them return home with new skills, lasting friendships, and a stronger understanding of their faith.
Experience Objectives
- Spiritual Growth: Create space for campers to encounter God in nature, reflect on His Word, and grow in personal faith.
- Adventure & Confidence: Encourage campers to take on physical and mental challenges that build courage, resilience, and trust.
- Leadership & Teamwork: Equip campers to lead with humility and serve others, developing skills in cooperation, communication, and responsibility.
- Community & Connection: Strengthen bonds through shared experiences, meaningful conversations, and acts of encouragement.
- Stewardship of Creation: Cultivate a heart of gratitude and responsibility toward God’s creation through hands-on outdoor experiences.
By the end of the week, Campers will have:
- Grown in confidence in who they are in Christ.
- Strengthened their ability to lead and serve others.
- Learn to stand firm and make wise choices in the face of challenges.
