Camp BlueSky Program Aide
Length of Service: 10 weeks, May 20, 2023 - July 26, 2023
Overview:
The Program Aide’s primary role will be to work alongside Camp BlueSky’s Assistant Director of Programs to plan and execute each day of camp. A Program Aide will work behind the scenes to ensure that the day to day program operations of camp run smoothly. Each Program Aide will have their own primary responsibility, which can include, but is not limited to specific programs, operations, media, and administrative planning and tasks. While focusing on each individual role, a Program Aide will contribute to the overall culture and experience of camp with Gospel-centered leadership.
Our campers are multinational and Kenyan students living in Nairobi, Kenya and around East Africa. Nairobi is an extremely diverse and growing city and our campers are likely to become the national and world leaders of the future. There is a great need for them to know Christ, deepen their faith, and grow in character! A Program Aide will engage in and learn about ministry in a multicultural context while being part of a seasonal team of international peers under the guidance and mentorship of the Assistant Director of Programs.
Responsibilities:

Fulfil unique role within the Programming Team.

Work alongside the Programming Team to execute the daily program operations of camp.

Working with other camp staff members to implement camp programs and create a Christ-centered, fun, and safe environment for campers and other staff members, seeking to live the gospel out and grow in Christ-likeness.

Mastering emergency procedures and monitoring campers to ensure compliance with camp rules and prevent accidents.

Maintaining and overseeing proper use of camp facilities and equipment.

Reporting and recording details of incidents, such as accidents or rule violations, to camp leadership staff.
Program Aid Positions:

Photo/Video Aide

Responsible for taking photographs and videos of campers and camp life during each session of camp.

Under direct supervision of Managing Director.

Responsible for session and season end video.

Upload photos and videos for camp families weekly to camp software.

Program Aides (3-4)

Assist the Assistant Director of Programs in running various camp programs.

This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Programs.

Cost:
All BlueSky ministry staff are volunteers who contribute or raise the necessary funds to cover the expenses involved in being at Camp BlueSky. The required amount will vary based on travel costs, position, and length of service. BlueSky leadership staff will provide resources and coaching for seasonal staff who need to raise financial support for their season of ministry.
