Camp BlueSky Program Aide

Length of Service: 3- 6 weeks (28th May - June 14th 2024 , 1st July -19th July 2024)


The Program Aide’s primary role will be to work alongside the Camp Activity Coordinator to plan and execute each day of camp. A Program Aide will work behind the scenes to ensure that the day-to-day program operations of camp run smoothly. Each Program Aide will have their own primary responsibility, which can include, but is not limited to specific programs i.e. operations, media, administrative planning, and tasks. While focusing on each individual role, the Program Aide will contribute to the overall culture and experience of Camp BlueSky with Gospel-centered leadership.


  • Work alongside the Programming Team to execute the daily program operations of camp.

  • Working with other camp staff members to implement camp programs and create a Christ-centered, fun, and safe environment for campers and other staff members.

  • Mastering emergency procedures and monitoring campers to ensure compliance with camp rules and prevent accidents.

  • Maintaining and overseeing proper use of camp facilities and equipment.

  • Reporting and recording details of incidents, such as accidents or rule violations, to the Camp Activities Coordinator.



  • A self-professing Christ follower, actively involved in a Christian faith community and actively pursuing Christ on a consistent basis.

  • Heart for the nations with proven spiritual leadership experience.

  • Passion for adventure and the outdoors, along with a deep commitment to Christian faith and values.

  • You must be aged 19 years and above.

  • Must have a genuine interest in promoting a positive, safe, and fun environment for children.

  • Given the nature of many camp programs, being physically fit is a crucial requirement.

  • Ability to lead and inspire campers.

  • Must be patient and have compassion for campers and fellow staff.

  • Must be flexible and responsive to changing situations.

  • Having skills or knowledge in activities offered in camp can be advantageous.

  • Aides are often responsible for guiding and supervising campers. They should be able to lead group activities, ensure the safety of participants, and set a good example for behavior and respect.



  • Commitment to the BlueSky Vision: Purpose, Mission, and Core Values.

  • Willingness to commit for at least 3 weeks (1 staff training week and 2 Camp sessions)
